Bologna boss Sinisa Mihajlovic has claimed that he was called a ‘gypsy’ by a police officer before the Coppa Italia Final.

A Lazio fan was thought to have insulted Mihajllovic, who did not hold back, but the Serb has now revealed that the remarks came from a member of law enforcement.

“I was insulted by a policeman!” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It’s already a disgrace to hear screams of ‘gypsy’ during matches from opposing fans.

“I’ve never heard an announcer ask them to stop, but I won’t accept it from a policeman, one in uniform.

“He should be enforcing order, not attacking and insulting others. And when Wednesday happened, I reacted.”
