Milan Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic says Mario Balotelli’s behaviour has been ‘exemplary’.

The forward returned to the Rossoneri on loan from Liverpool this summer, having courted controversy in the past with his attitude.

“I knew Balotelli when he was 17 [at Inter], and I’m back with him at 25, I don’t know how he behaved in the meantime,” Mihajlovic told journalists in his pre-Udinese Press conference.

“Now he's behaving in an exemplary way. I always try to encourage him to train at his best.

“Could he start tomorrow? I’ve still not decided, let’s see how the lads are tomorrow morning, and who has the right feeling to play.”

The Serbian Coach also emphasised the importance of being solid in defence, having conceded in all their Serie A games so far.

“We’ve conceded goals in all our competitive matches, with the exclusion of Perugia [in the Coppa Italia].

“We know Milan have conceded 99 goals in the past two seasons, so we have to try not to concede. One of our key goals for tomorrow and the upcoming games is not to concede.

“It’s true that we play an attacking style, but we need to have the same ruthlessness in defence as attack. Even our strikers must work to ensure we don’t concede.

“It’s something that has to be done as a team, not just by the defenders.”
