Sinisa Mihajlovic “will not give up” after Milan’s shock home defeat to Bologna, but there are reports he’ll be sacked.

The Rossoneri were beaten 1-0 at San Siro by a late Emanuele Giaccherini goal after wasting numerous scoring opportunities.

“We must continue working and try to improve things calmly,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.

“Today we made too many mistakes and at the end you risk losing, as we did. It’s a defeat that hurts because we create so much and score so few goals. The lads always tried to win.

“The fans jeered us and I understand that, they have every right to jeer. I will not give up. We lost, but we played our game and had five clear-cut opportunities clear on goal. When you don’t take those chances, you risk paying for it.

“We mustn’t forget that for four or five months we’ve only had two strikers available. When everyone is fit, the value of the squad is greater.

“We risked nothing for 70 minutes, then our desire to win made us push forward too much and become unbalanced. It hurts, but we have to focus on the next game with Roma.”

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani was spotted on the phone with President Silvio Berlusconi. Is a decision in the offing?

“We haven’t spoken yet. There will be an opportunity to talk tomorrow or this evening. Milan’s objective this season is to earn a place in the Champions League and try to win the Coppa Italia.”
