Milan will be without Junior Messias for the rest of their pre-season tour of the USA after he picked up a muscular injury.

The 32-year-old is believed to be on the transfer market and is waiting for someone to make the right offer.

Meanwhile, he will not play again during the Rossoneri’s set of friendly matches in the United States this summer.

Messias was forced to interrupt today’s training session and has been diagnosed with an initial issue in the femoral bicep of the left thigh.

Sky Sport Italia report that his condition will not be evaluated until after he has returned to Italy.

This could be an issue for Milan, who are hoping to sell Messias over the next few weeks, especially with Samuel Chukwueze set to arrive for his medical on Wednesday afternoon.

That deal was done with Villarreal for circa €20m plus bonuses and the Nigeria international is expected to land in Milan tomorrow at circa 13.30 local time.

  1. I didn’t like seeing maldini and Tonali leave but honestly last year Milan should not have finished 4th. The transfers were also slow last year and didn’t amount to much. I don’t know if it was constant negotiations or the lack of funds but clearly something has changed in the way Milan is doing business on the transfer market. I would be surprised if Leo is sold at the end of the year or next to reinforce the depth even more. Losing Donorama, Hakan, Kessi and a couple of others on the free market also left a bad taste.
