Lionel Messi will wear the Number 30 jersey at Paris Saint-Germain, as the club released a video of his arrival. ‘Everything about the club matches my football ambitions.’

The Argentina international was a free agent after Barcelona found themselves unable to afford a new contract for their legendary player.

He joins Italy internationals Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marco Verratti at PSG, who instantly put themselves in the frame for the Champions League this season.

Messi has left the Number 10 jersey to his good friend Neymar, taking on the 30 shirt that he wore right at the start of his Barcelona career.

As expected, he signed a two-year contract with an option for a third, which is reported to be worth €35-40m per season.

“I am excited to begin a new chapter of my career at Paris Saint-Germain,” Messi told the club website.

“Everything about the club matches my football ambitions. I know how talented the squad and the coaching staff are here.

“I am determined to help build something special for the club and the fans, and I am looking forward to stepping out onto the pitch at the Parc des Princes.”

PSG also released a video showing his arrival in Paris, greeting thousands of fans, the medical and stepping out at the Parc des Princes.

  1. You either lying or you’re only after the money. P$G match your ambitious, how is that? Now I know your tears at the conference was only a crocodiles tears.

  2. He proves to be drama queen. He cries in Press conference that I didn’t want to leave Barcelona and just after two days he signed with PSG. Looks like everything is planned before.
I see that Barcelona also wanted to get rid of his wages and they put the blame on Laliga rules so that they can avoid backlash from Fans
