“He is fine mentally,” Soren Lerby told Tuttomercato.com. “He is not blaming anyone even though he would have liked to be in Catania with his teammates trying to get three points tomorrow.
“Mertens today and tomorrow will do physiotherapy and rehabilitation, with the hope of making a quick recovery.
“We still don’t know if he will be available for Sunday, he is working hard to try and get back in a matter of days.
“We will see how it’s going on Thursday or Friday.
“Mertens is happy at Napoli, in these last few months he has honoured the shirt and will continue to do so.
“He wants to play in the Champions League with the Azzurri again, but in May he wants to win his first trophy with them.”
