Gary Medel could risk retrospective punishment for his tackle on Atalanta’s Jasmin Kurtic, after his side Inter lost 2-1 in Bergamo on Sunday.

This is just the latest in a number of problems for the Nerazzuri, who were subject of controversy when their captain Mauro Icardi fell out with the club’s Ultras, and now it is looking increasingly likely that Coach Frank de Boer will be sacked.

The Chilean midfielder has a poor disciplinary record, and received no less than 24 yellow cards in all competitions during the last two seasons with Inter. The former Cardiff City man was nicknamed the 'Pitbull of Seville' during his time with Sevilla, and was famously sent off for slapping Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa.

Medel then went on the rampage during the incident, kicking a plastic chair so hard that pieces of it flew off and hit a nearby policeman.
