Lazio have confirmed that forward Keita Balde Diao has suffered a medial collateral ligament injury.
The former Barcelona player came on as a substitute during the weekend defeat to Sassuolo, but picked up a sprain.
“This afternoon at the Padeia clinic, Keita Balde Diao underwent tests on his right knee,” a statement from Lazio confirmed.

“It confirmed the presence of a sprain to the medial collateral ligament. The athlete will start treatment tomorrow, and the recovery time will be established early next week, after further tests.”
The recovery time for the injury would usually be between two to four weeks, depending on the severity.
