It’s rumoured Hernanes to Inter is held up by Ibrahima Mbaye after his agent called Walter Mazzarri “inadequate.”

The Nerazzurri have made an offer worth €12m plus ownership of Mbaye – who is currently on loan at Livorno – in exchange for Lazio” data-scaytid=”12″>Lazio midfielder Hernanes.

However, the latest reports suggest there are two major sticking points. The first is that Lazio President Claudio Lotito wants Hernanes to publicly demand a transfer, that way he won’t be held responsible by angry fans if the Brazilian leaves.

“I have not sold Hernanes and do not intend to sell him,” said Lotito on Radio Radio.

“He is the one who has to tell us if he wants to leave Lazio. We did not put him on the market.”

In a bid to save face, Lazio have also offered a contract extension to Hernanes for five years worth €2.2m per season.

The other rather unexpected problem is Mbaye has wage demands that are beyond Lazio’s limitations.

The 19-year-old Senegalese left-back grew up in the Inter youth academy and today his agent launched a scathing attack on his parent club.

“I would be very careful saying everything has been done,” Beppe Accardi told FCInter1908.it.

“There are still many interests caught up in this. Tomorrow I should meet (Lazio director Igli) Tare, but a meeting does not mean the affair is concluded.

“Why are Inter not betting on Mbaye? I consider Mazzarri to be an inadequate Coach for Inter. The Nerazzurri risk burning down much of the value of their youth academy.

“Erick Thohir arrived with different promises, but evidently they cannot be realised under the current Coach.”

Today Inter welcomed Danilo D’Ambrosio from Torino, as he underwent his medical and had his first training session.

D’Ambrosio is a 25-year-old left-back who effectively replaces Mbaye in their plans.
