But Mazzarri points at a situation in the first half, when he felt Ante Rebic could have been sent off and said the referee was also decisive at the end.

“It wasn’t easy to find the concentration again after the heavy defeat three days ago,” he told Rai Sport. “We had a great second half, we deservedly took the lead. It was a game to be won.
“It was a bad performance by the referee and by VAR. Absurd to not look at a possible sending off for [Ante] Rebic.
“If we would have had that advantage, I’m 99.9 per cent sure we would’ve gone through. I am analysing a great performance from my team. If it wasn’t for the last ten minutes, when the referee reversed the fouls and never let us start again…”
Mazzarri has revealed that Torino are in trouble and said the transfer market can’t make up for the absentees out injured.
“We are in an emergency in all departments,” he revealed. “The market doesn’t matter, because only a few weeks ago there were 26 of us, even too many. We have been in a crisis lately, with at least 10 players out.”
Torino have lost three consecutive matches across all competitions and are now preparing for a trip to Puglia on Sunday.
Toro arrive in Lecce at 12th in Serie A and will be desperate to turn the tide against the Giallorossi at the Via del Mare.
