Walter Mazzarri insists Napoli “cannot think about Juventus” when hosting Catania this evening, as the Scudetto race hots up.

The gap has been reduced to only three points and a win tonight would temporarily put the Partenopei joint top. Click here for a match preview.

“We cannot think about Juventus, as we must focus only on our own game. We are taking on Catania and can’t afford to get distracted for a moment,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“It is very satisfying to see Napoli consistently up there challenging for the top of the table. I am happy with the way the club moved on the transfer market. Will it affect my decision to remain next season? I have to put the usual record on and say I will decide at the end of this term. I never said I was going to leave for sure.”

Christian Maggio is still out after surgery to reduce a fracture in his hand, while Miguel Angel Britos and Hugo Campagnaro are both suspended.

January signings Rolando and Emanuele Calaio are already in the squad for tonight’s match.

“Rolando can play in any role for a three-man defence. He’s just a little out of shape and needs to train separately, but will be very useful,” continued Mazzarri.

“Catania can be considered the real revelation of this tournament, as they have strikers of a high level, with quality in midfield and defence too. They are coming off three consecutive victories and that says a lot.

“We are missing some key players in defence, but tested various options and will play with a battling spirit. We must face Catania the same way as if we were taking on a top club.”
