Inter Coach Walter Mazzarri warned Livorno will be “tough” on Monday, especially against many of their own players.

“Every game in Serie A is tough, they're all tricky, plus Livorno have strong support. They need points,” said Mazzarri in his Press conference and the official Inter website.

“You need to approach every opponent in the best way possible right from the outset, then when we have the ball we have to try and finish as soon as possible. We'll do everything we can to put in a good performance at Livorno.”

There are several Inter-owned players starring for the Amaranto, including Francesco Bardi, Ibrahima Mbaye and Alfred Duncan.

“We keep tabs on them, as we do with all the lads that are out on loan, as well as those at La Pinetina. If they do well elsewhere they can come back and perform for us. We'll assess them all come the end of the season.”

The tactician confirmed Hernanes might not be fit to start, as he is suffering from a recurring calf problem.

Mazzarri met with President Erick Thohir, directors Marco Fassone and Piero Ausilio on Friday to work out the summer transfer strategy.
“All I’ll say is that it confirmed we're on the same page. As a Coach, when I take on a job, it’s as if the club were mine, so I don’t need added motivation, though the President helps to motivate us all in any case.”

Thohir told journalists he didn’t know “whether to laugh or cry” after learning Inter were the only Serie A side without a penalty this season, while Massimo Moratti said the situation was “comical.”
“It’s all been said already, I don't know if there’s any point in continuing to talk about it, people see what’s going on,” added Mazzarri.

“I don’t need to comment on what the President or Honorary President say, they know what they’re talking about.”
