Walter Mazzarri laughed off links with the Inter job for next season and warns tomorrow night’s game is “a classic trap” for Napoli.

The Partenopei are flying high after their return to form in Serie A and midweek 3-1 Champions League victory over Chelsea.

“We’ve got to separate ourselves from this enthusiasm and focus only on tomorrow’s game, which will be extremely difficult,” said Mazzarri in his press conference.

“Inter are a quality team and have the raging strength that comes from a wounded side. Recently nothing has gone right for them and I would hate for the tide to turn against us, just as we turned against Chievo.

“This match can be a classic trap for Napoli. We’ve got to be 100 per cent concentrated, paying attention to every detail and not letting anything go. Every ball we lose could be the one that decides a victory or a defeat. If we play the way we have done in recent games, then we can do this.”

Mazzarri has even been linked with the Inter job for next season along with Pep Guardiola and Fabio Capello.

“I am not interested in this talk. I focus only on Napoli and have a contract until 2013.”

Marek Hamsik is suspended for the Sunday evening clash, but Inter-owned Goran Pandev should step in.

“I could introduce Andrea Dossena and move Juan Zuniga up, or use Blerim Dzemaili or Pandev. I hope Pocho Lavezzi has finally found his scoring touch.

“Anything can still happen this season. We just have to focus on treating this game like a Cup Final. After all, if we play every match like that, then we can achieve something over the course of a campaign.”
