Walter Mazzarri did not like ‘a single thing’ about Cagliari’s 4-0 defeat to Inter. ‘You can lose to a great team, but not like this.’
The Sardinians never really tested Samir Handanovic, facing an onslaught from the new Serie A leaders and reigning title holders.

Lautaro Martinez scored twice, with Alexis Sanchez’s volley and a Hakan Calhanoglu screamer, but only Alessio Cragno kept the result down, saving a penalty as well as many of the 15 shots on target.
“It was a horrible night,” confessed a clearly irritated Mazzarri on DAZN.
“You can lose to Inter, they are a great team, but not like this. What I do not accept is that we didn’t win a tackle, we didn’t show determination or hunger, instead it was Inter biting at our ankles to get the ball back immediately.
“I didn’t like a single thing about the performance tonight, I am furious. This is a team that must fight for every ball to secure safety, but we don’t fight for every ball.
“Honestly, the less time you keep me here, the better.”
