Catania striker Maxi Lopez has admitted that he would be willing to move back to Sampdoria.

The 29-year-old spent part of last season on loan at the Bluerchiati, and after struggling for form with the Sicilian outfit this term the goalscorer has claimed that he would love to go back to the Marassi before the end of the window.

“It’s a viable possibility,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “Genoa is a beautiful place that I really enjoying living in.

“Samp have a great fanbase and are a great club.”

The Argentine attacker then commented on his current team’s draw with Inter on Sunday.

“It’s a point that gives us great hope for some sort of salvation,” he added. “Now we just have to focus on the next game.”
