“Unfortunately I had to leave the game after this moment,” wrote Mauricio on Instagram with a picture of his bloody nose.

“At the hospital it has been proven: I broke my nose in two parts. They asked if I wanted to operate, but would need to stay a month sidelined.
“I chose NOT to have surgery. I wanna train, I wanna be with the team. I wanna work hard to come back even stronger.
“I’m feeling ok and I will have to wear a mask, but at least I will keep together with my teammates fighting for Lazio, ever!”
