Mauri is also cited as having violated Article 1 paragraph 1 of the Code of Sports Justice, the principles of loyalty, fairness and integrity, and Article 6 paragraph 1, prohibition of betting.

The veteran though, has claimed he is only concentrating on the upcoming season.

“There is so much enthusiasm from the team and the fans,” he told reporters.

“We are working as hard as we did last year. Winning the Coppa Italia was unforgettable, but we have to turn the page.

“I am a professional, so we'll just have to see what happens in the trial.

“I am feeling calm about it.

“I never broke the rules of this sport.”
