Multiple reports suggest Milan striker Alessandro Matri is close to agreeing a move to Sassuolo.

The forward joined the Rossoneri from Juventus for a fee of €11m in 2013, but failed to force his way into the side.

Having been sent on loan to Fiorentina, Juventus, Genoa and Lazio, it now appears Matri is close to a permanent switch to the Neroverdi.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Emilian side are offering a three-year contract worth €1.2m per season to tempt the 31-year-old.
