Empoli Coach Giovanni Martusciello was pleased to get a point at Sampdoria, despite a missed penalty.
Despite Levan Mchedlidze's saved spot-kick, the goalless draw means the Azzurri move another point clear of Serie A's relegation zone.
"I'm happy with the performance of my boys," Martusciello told media following the final whistle at the Luigi Ferraris.
"We did well to hold our ground for the whole match. We bring home a point that moves us further away from the relegation zone.
