According to L’Équipe, OM made contact with Les Aiglons around 10 days ago, through legal director Alexandre Mialhe, to inform them they want to negotiate with Super Mario.
While Marseille are very keen to finalise a deal though, the newspaper believes that Raiola is waiting to see which offers arrive.
Another issue could be the contract, as L’Équipe believes there may be an option in Nice’s favour for another year.
That would conflict with Raiola’s public declarations, while last year’s official statement confirming Balotelli’s renewal didn’t actually specify the length of the contract
