“We haven’t received any offers from those teams.

“We did our business early, in advance of important players like [Carlos] Tevez and [Andrea] Pirlo leaving. We’ve already completed the squad, and it’s a competitive team.

“The bulk of our work has been done, but we’ll evaluate any opportunities to improve the squad.”

Marotta also reiterated his stance that Paul Pogba is not for sale, despite a meeting with Barcelona.

“He’s an important part of our team, and we won’t sell him. The visit from Barcelona was a corporate one.”
