Marotta moved to the Old Lady in the summer of 2010 after leaving Sampdoria. Although not all of his signings have been a success, some of his buys were key to Scudetto success last season.
Once the 55-year-old puts pen to paper, the club’s attention will then switch to Italian international Buffon.
His present agreement expires in June, but he’s set to accept a cut to his €6m a year salary in order to remain in Turin.
