Mario Rui “feels just as good” as Faouzi Ghoulam and is “second to no-one”, according to the Napoli’s left-back agent.

The onus has been placed on Mario Rui to fill the void left by the injured Ghoulam, although the Portuguese faces fresh competition from Hrvoje Milic, who recently arrived on a free transfer.

“I think he’ll play. He told me he’s fine and therefore he has no problems,” Mario Giuffredi told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“His initial difficulties weren’t because of him not being at Ghoulam’s level. Mario feels just as good, second to no-one.

“However, there was general scepticism from the Press and fans, who didn’t consider him good enough. Overcoming that wasn’t easy.”
