Mario Pasalic will start his medicals with Milan today, and they will go on until tomorrow.

The Chelsea midfielder is set to start his loan with the Rossoneri, but first he must pass a much more exhaustive exam than the usual ones reserved for new players.

Pasalic's medicals are not a formality, as he hasn't played a game since last February because of a herniated disc. Hernias being notoriously slow and difficult to heal, the Italian club wants to make absolutely sure that the Croatian is in a condition to play before offering him a contract.

The player will therefore start the first part of his medicals this morning, and finish them tomorrow with a specialistic meeting at noon. Only then can an official deal be signed.

Contrary to initial reports that the loan would cost €1m with an extra price to be paid subject to the playing time awarded to the footballer, the Gazzetta dello Sport now reports that the total cost will be €200,000. It will become more expensive, reaching a maximum payable of €1m, only if the player doesn't reach certain minimum quotas of playing time.
