Pasquale Marino says he needs Genoa to be more aggressive and determined if they are to put an end to their losing streak this weekend against Parma.

The Grifone welcome Roberto Donadoni’s Gialloblu to Marassi in a poor run of form, without a goal or a point in three games.

To turn things around, Marino is clear on what he believes needs to change, as he expressed in Friday’s Press conference.

“The most important thing is to have the aggressiveness and determination that had emerged, especially in home games.

To turn things around, Marino is clear on what he believes needs to change, as he expressed in Friday’s Press conference.

“The most important thing is to have the aggressiveness and determination that had emerged, especially in home games.

“We must be brave to have an aggressive approach – the intensity is important, especially in home games.

“There is desire for revenge, to recover lost ground in front of our fans who cannot wait to support us.

“We must appreciate the commitment and competitiveness  – only with more of this can we play our own game.

“If we play well, as I hope, we would find ourselves in a position in the table that would allow us to move forward with deserved tranquillity.”

The team go into the fixture on a run of three consecutive defeats – to Catania, Atalanta and Chievo – but Marino believes it is not a fair reflection of their work so far.

“You can look at the Catania match, but the other two were undeserved defeats. I am confident that the team as a whole has not given away much and our balance has improved. But we fail sometimes in areas of attack.”
