The 37-year-old from Plok is well-respected at UEFA and officiated the European Super Cup Final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid last month.
His record with Italian sides is of eight wins, two draws and six defeats, but this includes Italy’s 3-1 friendly loss to Belgium in November 2015.
The only previous Napoli game officiated by Marciniak is a 2-0 Champions League preliminary round victory over Nice in August 2017.
His one game involving Serbian football was a World Cup qualifier, as they won 3-0 away to Wales in September 2013.
