The 30-year-old has been linked with a possible move to Arsenal this month, but Beppe Bozzo has underlined that such a switch will not happen.
“Marchetti is not available for transfer,” the representative told Sport Italia. “He is actually getting quite annoyed by the links with foreign clubs.”
The Italian international, now back in the Giro Azzurro, joined the Biancocelesti in the summer of 2011 after being frozen out of the Cagliari squad on his return from World Cup 2010.
Marchetti’s former clubs include Crotone, Treviso, Torino and Albinoleffe amongst others.
