It’s a boost for the 21-year-old Albanian, who is in negotiations to extend his contract with Lazio from June 2019 to 2021.
Ivan Vargic was signed this year and has two senior caps for Croatia, but the 29-year-old is yet to make his Lazio debut.
Coach Simone Inzaghi has more faith in Strakosha than Vargic to act as understudy to Marchetti.
