Rolando Maran admits the 2-2 draw with Parma “really stings” because Cagliari were within seconds of their first win since December.

The Sardinians had twice been in front, but missed a penalty with Joao Pedro and were caught by a stoppage-time Andreas Cornelius header.

“It really stings, because we deserved to bring home the victory and had so many scoring opportunities,” said the coach in his press conference.

“It really stings, because we deserved to bring home the victory and had so many scoring opportunities,” said the coach in his press conference.

“As usual, it was all for nothing because we conceded a goal right at the end, having wasted the chance to kill the game moments earlier with Nahitan Nandez.

“It’s a draw that makes us angry, because we tried to win from start to finish and should’ve been more focused at the end. At the moment, we have to put in three times the effort just to get a result that came easier to us at the start of the season.

“We managed to do everything well except finish our chances and that is a recurring theme. I will never cling to the idea it’s just bad luck, as there is always something we can do.”
