Rolando Maran wants his Chievo team to ‘make the most’ of their renewed desire to get out of their slump in form.

Prior to last weekend’s win over Cagliari, the Flying Donkeys had not won a match since November.

However, the 2-1 success over the Sardi lifted the Stadio Bentegodi side to the relative safety of fourteenth and their Coach is now targeting further successes – starting with today’s trip to Fiorentina.

However, the 2-1 success over the Sardi lifted the Stadio Bentegodi side to the relative safety of fourteenth and their Coach is now targeting further successes – starting with today’s trip to Fiorentina.

“It will be a difficult match against Fiorentina, but we are obliged to do the things you saw against Cagliari,” Maran told a Press conference.

“The desire to get out of our crisis gave us the motivation to go out on the pitch last Saturday.

“This desire can’t be extinguished after just one match, but we need to continue to make the most of it in the coming games.”

Maran added that he can see light at the end of the tunnel, with Chievo having had more than their share of injuries this campaign.

“Regardless of the injuries to Birsa and Giaccherini, every week it will be even better for us.

“The players who need to recover from injury will be in a better and better shape.”
