Gonzalo Higuain scored for the 1-0 victory, but he was also at the centre of a contentious handball incident.
“We are getting used to refereeing errors going against us and that is not pleasant,” Maran told Sky Sport Italia.
“There was a clear Higuain handball. I don’t know if (referee Davide) Massa’s vision was impaired, but there’s nothing more I can say. Higuain basically saved that shot on goal.
“We came up against a great Napoli side, yet towards the end we had the chances to equalise. Napoli are a tough team to face, especially in this kind of form, and don’t let you play very much.
“We tried everything and often had to go over their midfield. Napoli didn’t let us play the way we usually do and we weren’t sharp enough on the counter.”
Maran was sent off for dissent and complained of errors, yet Bostjan Cesar was fortunate not to be red-carded for a studs-up tackle on the back of Allan’s ankle.
