The tactician has been named as one of the potential replacements for sacked Giampiero Ventura by new FIGC Commissioners Roberto Fabbricini and Alessandro Costacurta.
Mancio landed in Italy today with his Zenit St Petersburg squad for a training camp.
He was asked at the airport if he will also be using the opportunity to meet Costacurta.
