The Coach is touted to leave the club this week, as his relationship with the new Chinese ownership is not taking off.

Inter just lost an International Champions Club game against Paris Saint-Germain by 3-1, and inevitably the questions after the game turned to the prospect of a resignation.

“Nothing has changed compared to two days ago, the situation is normal,” said Mancini. “We'll see over the next few days. My meeting with [president Erick] Thohir? There's nothing to clarify on the subject.

“Right now there is an enormous difference between ourselves and PSG. We did fairly well for 70 minutes, keeping up with our opponents.

“Then the difference became more noticeable when we started playing our subs in the last half-hour. We played our youngsters, while they sent in players of the level of [Edinson] Cavani and [Angel] Di Maria.

“It was really hot too, which might have influenced our physical decline. Right now we're expecting another two games, let's hope we can do well. [Geoffrey] Kondogbia? It's not a serious injury.”

Finally, Mancini discussed the possible sale of Mauro Icardi to Napoli and the signing of Antonio Candreva from Lazio.

“You should ask the president whether Icardi's unsellable or not. The same goes for Candreva.”
