Roberto Mancini hit back at Mateo Kovacic’s criticism after quitting Inter. “We never went to dinner together, that wasn’t my job.”

The Croatian midfielder was sold to Real Madrid this summer and claimed he “had no rapport” with Mancini at all.

“I respect his opinion, but we never went to the cinema or dinner together, as that’s not my job,” said Mancini in today’s Press conference.

“My job is to teach him and get the best out of my players.

“I tried to teach him that quality and talent are not enough. I never had a problem with him, though.”
