Roberto Mancini insists that there is no exit clause in his Inter contract, and discusses Thursday’s Celtic match.

Mancio returned to the Inter bench earlier this season, but there have been suggestions that he has a clause in his contract which would allow him to terminate the deal early.

“In life you should always be able to leave when you want to,” Mancini said as he appeared on La Domenica Sportiva.

Mancio returned to the Inter bench earlier this season, but there have been suggestions that he has a clause in his contract which would allow him to terminate the deal early.

“In life you should always be able to leave when you want to,” Mancini said as he appeared on La Domenica Sportiva.

“That’s only right if you’re not feeling good or you want to change. What I’m saying is, there’s always that possibility, but there’s no clause.”

Mancio also looked ahead to Thursday’s Europa League clash in Glasgow with Scottish champions Celtic, and insisted the Europa League is important for his side.

“Obviously it [the Europa League] is a very difficult objective, especially this year with all the good teams which have come in from the Champions League.

“It can happen that two strong teams meet along the way, and then one of them will be eliminated. It’s not always the best teams who make it to the end.

“Having said that, when other teams face Inter they know they’re meeting a famous club. Meanwhile, we’re thinking about Celtic.

“We hope to do well against Celtic, it’s become a fascinating competition, especially because this year victory will grant you access to the Champions League.”
