Roberto Mancini remains a contender for the England job, but is also being linked with Olympique Marseille.

The tactician has been out of contract since terminating his spell at Inter by mutual consent in August.

He was a guest of the England Football Association for last week’s World Cup qualifier with Malta at Wembley.

That fuelled already existing speculation that the former Manchester City manager was a contender for the role left vacant by Sam Allardyce.

According to this evening’s reports in Italy from pundit Niccolo' Ceccarini, Mancini has also caught the eye of Olympique Marseille.

Franck Passi was the assistant manager, but took over the main job in April after Michel was sacked.

The club is in the process of a takeover by American businessman Frank McCourt and when that is completed, Marseille can appoint a new Coach.
