“My sensation was that we started very well indeed, but then acted as if the game was already won,” Mancini told Mediaset.
“We were just knocking the ball around without much intent and allowed them to get back into the game. This too is something we need to work on.
“Having said that, a 3-3 draw in Glasgow is absolutely not a result worth throwing away. What we have to understand is that if you defend too deep, sooner or later you are going to concede a goal.
“Considering the way this game was going, we are bound to have some regrets.”
Mateo Kovacic was again dropped from the starting XI and Mancini explained why.
“I don’t think he is ready to play the kind of midfield role I need there. It’s not a failure, though, as Mateo will play the next games.”
