“The arrival of Mancini is very important,” Guarin told BeInSports.
“We know everything about him as a Coach, now we’re getting to know him as a person. He’s giving a different spirit and enthusiasm to the team.
“He likes his team to be attacking, the defence must push as high up as possible and make the pitch as small as we can.
“He’s a happy person, and very positive, he gives us so much confidence.
“We all know he was a great player, now he’s a great Coach and a winner. He was good here in the past, I think he already knew a lot about Inter, and some of the players and obviously he knows us very well now.
“We’re like a family here.”
The former Porto midfielder also discussed his time with the Nerazzurri, admitting that the club has struggled in recent years to hit the heights expected.
“It’s always been difficult, but the past few years have been very unusual in the history of the club. We’ve had so many changes, firstly the President and then pretty much the whole hierarchy.
“Almost the entire squad has changed, followed by the Coach, these are the difficulties which I’ve encountered in my first three years at Inter, but now I think things are settled.
“This is a new Inter, the fans need to have patience, because all of us – the club and the players – have one goal, and that’s to return Inter to the top and get back to winning.
“We have great players, and important technical staff, in addition to a board which has a great desire to make the team grow.
“The things we need are all there, we need to all spur each other on, and have patience when things don’t go our way.”
