Inter Coach Roberto Mancini is reticent on the subject of transfers, but says Serie A can still attract stars.

The Nerazzurri have been linked with the likes of Manchester City’s Yaya Toure and Paulo Dybala of Palermo, but the tactician was in no mood to discuss rumours.

“We have to think about these [remaining] nine games,” Mancini said in his Press conference ahead of the trip to Verona.

“We have to dedicate ourselves to doing only good things for the fans.

“I think that, even with this difficult situation, Inter is always Inter. A great club. The Italian League is no longer what it was, but I think it’s still beautiful for a player to come to Italy.

“I haven’t spoken about these issues with the President [Erick Thohir], we’ll see when I speak with him.

“When he was President [Massimo] Moratti made big purchases and the results were extraordinary. [Now] I think it’s difficult to move certain players.

“I keep hearing that the President is away and the club is in disarray, but it’s not true.

“We’re working hard, and the results will come. We’re all trying to get things right, you don’t win or lose because a President is away.

“If that were true, the English would never win.”

Mancio did, however, assure fans that Mateo Kovacic will not be leaving the Beneamata.

“Inter have huge confidence in Kovacic, he has renewed his contract and we’re counting on him. There are moments in which players have to come up with something extra.

“But it’s true to say that everyone likes him.”
