After splashing out on Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund, there are reports Manchester United are again looking towards Serie A for Lecce forward Nikola Krstovic.

The Premier League side has revelled in Hojlund’s Champions League form, as he scored five goals in just four games, but is yet to find the net domestically.

According to TeamTalk, coach Erik ten Hag is hoping for further attacking reinforcements in January and keeping a close eye on Krstovic.

The 23-year-old Montenegro international only joined Lecce from Dunajska Streda over the summer for €3.9m plus bonuses.

He made a stunning start to his Serie A career, scoring in each of his first three games, but has found the net only once more since then.

Krstovic has already attracted interest from Juventus and Inter, but would be able to bring in a significantly higher transfer fee from Manchester United, especially in the January window.

Tuttomercatoweb warn that Krstovic’s price-tag has already tripled to at least €12m.
