Manchester United are ready to pay up to €60m for Fiorentina and Serbia defender Nikola Milenkovic, claim reports.

Jose Mourinho was in the stands for Serbia’s win over Montenegro this week and it had been assumed he was there to scout Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

However, La Nazione insists he was there for Fiorentina centre-back Milenkovic instead.

He just turned 21 this week and was snapped up from Partizan Belgrade in the summer of 2017 for €5m.

Milenkovic is under contract to 2022 and already has eight senior caps for Serbia, including at the 2018 World Cup.

Even if the €60m proposal suggested by English papers were to come through, the Viola are reportedly confident they can get more for him next summer and aren’t ready to sell in January.
