There are growing reports that Manchester United are preparing a €30m offer for Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic.

The rumour had emerged on Friday, but has been picking up steam and hit the front page of the Gazzetta dello Sport today.

It’s certainly not the first time that Pjanic has been linked with a Premier League club, as he was a prime target for Tottenham over the summer.

Having already sold Erik Lamela to Spurs, Roma thought it unwise to part with another of their young talents.

The Bosnian is still only 23 years old, despite having been through Metz, Olympique Lyon and Roma.

The Giallorossi signed Pjanic for €11m in August 2011 and his contract with the club runs until June 2015.

As Pjanic turned down proposals over the summer, it remains to be seen whether he’d want to leave now that Roma are flying high on top of Serie A with a 100 per cent record.

He scored three goals in eight Serie A games this season and provided three assists.
