Manchester United have reportedly beaten Serie A clubs to Victor Lindelof after agreeing a €45m deal for the Benfica defender.
Sky Sports cites confirmation from its sources in Portugal that United are in talks with Benfica President Luis Filipe Vieira over the signing of Lindelof.
The Sweden international had been strenously linked with the likes of Juventus, Inter, Milan and Napoli.
The speculation then cooled after it emerged Benfica were reluctant to sell following their qualification for the Champions League last 16.
