Manchester City talent scout Angelo Gregucci confirmed Fiorentina star Stevan Jovetic “is on our list,” plus two Serie B youngsters.
Gregucci was in the stands of Friday’s 1-0 Sassuolo” data-scaytid=”8″>Sassuolo victory over Juve Stabia to watch Gaetano Berardi – who scored the winner – and teammate Richmond Boakye.
“Jovetic is on our list, we cannot deny it,” defensive coach Gregucci told Violanews.com.
“He is a great player, but after that I don’t know if he will wear the Manchester City jersey or not, as I am not the one to ask.
“I can only reply that City’s interest is concrete and we cannot hide ourselves in that respect.”
Gregucci also commented on the business these clubs have already done over the summer, exchanging defenders Matija Nastasic with Stefan Savic.
“I am not someone who likes to pass quick judgement, so I won’t say after a few months that we are dealing with a champion. We have to wait and see if Nastasic really can make history with this club.
“He certainly has great talent, but outlandish comparisons only risk damaging the lad’s progress. As for Savic, he is a very interesting young player who has had some fitness problems.”
