Alberto Malesani is preparing Bologna for the worst amid their financial crisis. “We must beat Chievo to make up for the potential docked points.”

The club has been deferred to the Disciplinary Commission for failing to cover unpaid wages and could be docked three points as a result of these irregularities.

“The team is in good shape and everyone trained with enthusiasm. We must focus on the details, as those are what make the difference. Win the challenges and get to the ball first.

“I'd like to see a Bologna side that does everything possible for the victory. Our objective is safety and we need to get points as quickly as possible, especially if we are to make up for the potential docked points.

“The problems at the club level have nothing to do with us and we have the opportunity to go out there to prove we are professionals. The lads realised that and it's the best answer I could've had.”

It is also a special game for Malesani, who started his management career with the Chievo youth academy.

“Chievo represent my football infancy. I know the team well and am worried about their remarkable unity. They go on to the field with determination and get the ball into the box very quickly.”
