But the CONI chief revealed that the conclusion always depends on the government’s final decision.
“I’m frequently in contact with the President of the Federation Gabriele Gravina,” he told Corriere della Sera. “He keeps me updated on everything and for this I thank him.
“It’s clear that we are talking about a world apart and I refer to Serie A, who are facing a different economic situation compared to all the other realities.
“I think they will play their game and I can’t do anything but respect it. The organisation of the championships by statute belongs to the FIGC, which then relies on the Lega.
“Football, like the Olympics, has to deal with the virus. The government dictates the agenda. At the moment there are no certainties.”
