Nikola Maksimovic says “I always wanted Napoli” after making his debut last night.
The Serbian defender replaced Raul Albiol after 11 minutes of yesterday’s 4-2 Champions League win over Benfica, and discussed his first Partenopei match with Mediaset.
“It was my first game in the blue shirt, one to remember,” Maksimovic explained.

“It was my first game in the blue shirt, one to remember,” Maksimovic explained.
“I’m disappointed for the two goals we conceded in the last 20 minutes, but in the first 70 we proved that we’re a very good team.
“I always wanted only Napoli, I have to thank the President [Aurelio De Laurentiis] for giving me the opportunity to play here.
“There was a lot of mess in August [when Maksimovic went on strike from Torino], but it’s in the past. We still have two or three days to prepare for the Atalanta match, I’m ready.”
