Napoli have won just two of their last games, with no victories coming in their most recent three, but Maggio is of the opinion that him and his teammates have committed too many errors, as opposed to Maurizio Sarri’s tactics not working.

“We’ve been on a poor run of form, but if we analyse every match, it’d show that there have been more individual mistakes than anything else,” the full-back told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“At a team level, we’ve always done well. Over the space of a year, there can be times when things go wrong, but it’ll pass.

“It’s clear that we’ve come to miss an important player in Milik. He was doing well, but Gabbiadini is finding consistency and Mertens is playing well as a false nine.

“And then in defence, Albiol is close to returning. Raul’s an important player for our defence.

“Since he’s been gone, we’ve been a little less [than usual], but I don’t know if this has been due to his absence or our carelessness.

“Napoli is a beautiful city but a difficult one because the fans want results now, and maybe for a young lad, it’s not easy.

“Reina? He works well every day and is a serious professional, he’s made mistakes but he has the respect of the entire team.

“He’s a great goalkeeper and rescued us in many games.

“The next match against Udinese? They’ve done well in recent games and it won’t be easy, but we need points to restore tranquillity and stability.”
