Il Corriere dello Sport reports Romelu Lukaku may be forced to join Chelsea for the pre-season next week, so the striker is anxiously waiting for Inter to reach an agreement with the Blues.

The Belgium international was allowed not to start the pre-season with Chelsea this week while negotiations with Inter for his permanent transfer are ongoing.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Lukaku is in a hurry to make his permanent return to the Stadio Meazza, but there is still no agreement between the two clubs. If Inter and the Blues don’t shake hands by the weekend, Lukaku may be forced to join Chelsea on Monday when the Premier League side will fly out for their pre-season in the USA.

The latest reports in Italy claim Inter have submitted a new offer to sign Lukaku but failed to meet Chelsea’s asking price.

Inter need to sell André Onana to get the money for Lukaku’s purchase.

The Rome-based paper reports Juventus are also interested in Lukaku and have reached a principle of agreement with his entourage, but the Bianconeri also need to sell Dusan Vlahovic before making a formal bid for the Belgian.

Several clubs, including Chelsea, want Vlahovic, but the Blues and the Bianconeri have not discussed a swap deal involving the two strikers, the report claims.

No other media have mentioned an agreement between Juventus and Lukaku, who have made it clear that he only wants to play for Inter.
