“In the locker room, at halftime, I told [my teammates] we had to fight back, we had to do more. I am trying to stick this team together," Lukaku told Derniere Heure.

“We all did well, from Thibaut Courtois at the back to Dries Mertens and Kevin de Bruyne up front. We all did a great job.”

The 27-year-old is now ready to return to his club to face two crucial games against Torino in Serie A and Real Madrid in Champions League.

“Inter are waiting for me,” he continued.

“I am focused on Torino and Real Madrid.”

Lukaku has seven goals in eight games in all competitions with Inter so far this season.

Real Madrid will face the Nerazzurri without their captain Sergio Ramos who got injured during the international duty.
